Statistics 

The yearly frequency of VTE is predicted to be one per 1,000 persons, with DVT responsible for almost two-thirds of these episodes [1]. These percentages, nevertheless, vary by age, color, and gender. The following table from one of a few types of research shows the incidence rates.

Another study showed that the incidence of DVT increased with increased age, and this incidence or frequency rises drastically after the age of 60 [2]
